Building Community From the Ground Up

We are a non-profit that uses our family farm to help grow a healthier community. One that is more resilient, better connected to the land, and each other.

There is Fertile Soil Here

Growing our own food and sharing it with neighbors is part of our African American heritage and shared culture. It’s been a common theme in our family’s story, handed down from generation to generation. And it can play a major role in uplifting the people of Kingstown, N.C. The Paul & Marion Ramseur Foundation uses our regional foodways to educate, empower, and elevate our community. We achieve this through our farmer’s market, providing fresh produce to those in need, teaching our young people valuable skills, and much more.

Visit Our Farmers Market

Every Saturday from June to October, we host an outdoor market at our farm. You can find a variety of seasonal produce fresh from our garden, along with unique items and food from local vendors.

How We Serve and Grow Our Community

Beyond our seasonal farmers market, we have launched several initiatives to improve access to healthy foods, help educate our young people, and create new connections.

Engaging Programs

Our programs offer hands-on learning opportunities for youth and help give residents greater access to healthy foods.
